This basement was suffering from residual damp from a flood so to reduce the risk of damage to the new flooring this moisture needed to be isolated.

The existing floorcoverings were removed and the existing underlayment cements ground down to reveal the existing subfloor.
Two coats of Mapei's Mapeproof ESM liquid dampproof membrane was applied followed by new smoothing compound.
The finished floorcovering fitted was Polyflor 2000pu sheet vinyl in two Primary colours to compliment the nursery's scheme.
