This area was looking tired, unfortunately there are no before pictures but the previous carpet had seen better days and the steps had no stair edging profiles.

As you can see from the picture the new carpet Supplied by Wolff Contract Carpet (Universal Lite Range) offers and attractive and modern type of carpet pile which is in contrast to the previous old and dated needlepunch type.
The new stair edgings were installed with contrasting white inserts to conform with DDA regulations. The smaller steps at either end of each level have had the mitre joints cut and welded together at the manufacturer's factory prior to installation to ensure not only a neat joint but also to be sure there were no sharp/rough edges which might offer potential dangers to the students.
